boston design center website

problem

While it has long featured the most interior design showrooms and products in New England, the Boston Design Center’s brand had grown tired. A website for the BDC needed to be as creative and visually-aware as its visitors. When Jamestown Properties acquired the Center (and the Innovation and Design Building in which it resides) they sought to give it a fresher, more contemporary feel to appeal to a youthful, design-savvy audience.

solution

A major part of this transformation was changing bostondesign.com from a standard WordPress templated site with confusing navigation to one that was as on point as the target audience. The full-screen homepage video we directed (shot by Trent Bell) sets the tone and gives a quick introduction to the BDC. News and showroom information are readily accessible and kept up-to-the minute through an easy-to-use content management system. And the mobile-friendly design assures on-the-go architects, interior designers, and their clientele always have access to the latest.
