revamping hyannis traditions
Hyannis, Cape Cod’s energetic and eclectic downtown, is a well-known and beloved destination for summer activities. However, less known is all of the holiday fun to be had in Hyannis during the winter. The Town of Barnstable and the Hyannis Main Streets Association came to Visual Dialogue to create a distinctive campaign that could unite the town’s four major holiday events—the lighting ceremony, Main Street stroll, Love Local Fest, and harbor boat parade—under one unifying theme to attract more visitors and locals alike. But how could we translate Hyannis’s unique character into a memorable campaign that would entice attendees to bundle up and explore everything Hyannis has to offer?
vibrant variety
Starting with the logo, our aim was to encapsulate the diverse spirit of Hyannis. Festive typography is paired with a variety of emojis representing all that downtown has to offer, which come together to form a wreath.
from screen to sidewalk
The campaign engages viewers both online with social media animations and a custom Instagram filter, as well as on the street with face-in-hole boards and merch like sweatshirts and drink cups.

Marquee placemaking features like a giant wreath and a lighted sailboat create a winter wonderland on Main Street. There’s no holiday like a Hyannis Holiday.
