USQ branding

problem

Although one of the most vibrant neighborhoods in the area and despite its close proximity to Harvard Square, Kendall/MIT, and downtown Boston, Union Square in Somerville had been hamstrung by the lack of efficient public transportation. With the opening of the new Green Line T station in 2021, a tremendous opportunity exists to bring new residents and businesses to the Square. But how do we express this future vision today?

solution

In creating the branding, website, and interiors for the USQ marketing center, Visual Dialogue started with an extensive research and discovery process to understand both the best of the current neighborhood and the potential of its future. The logo plays off the “square” of Union Square, with the grid structure extending to the website. Videos showing the area and interviews with local business leaders demonstrate the best of what the neighborhood has to offer. The marketing center, created and furnished in partnership with interior design firm Superette, engages visitors through distinct areas that display interactive maps, evocative imagery, presentation materials, and a large-scale model of this transformative development. Welcome to Union Square!
