the fenway
a destination for all seasons
summer fun
Since the opening of Fenway Park in 1912, the Fenway neighborhood has been synonymous with the iconic ballpark. The area has evolved into a vibrant hub for entertainment, dining, shopping, living, and working. Samuels & Associates, the developer that led the transformation of the neighborhood, asked Visual Dialogue to create a seasonal marketing campaign that would highlight all the reasons people should start their summer here. But how could we welcome everyone to all that’s happening here in a unique and memorable way?
let it play
With a nod to the Red Sox (play ball), the many music venues (play it loud) and the recreation spaces (play ground) our “Press Play” campaign tied together all the ways to enjoy The Fenway. A custom typeface, bold colors, and illustrations by Cachetejack conveyed the fun, vibrancy, and variety of activities found in the neighborhood. The summer campaign popped up everywhere around the neighborhood from bus shelters to social media—inviting all to Press Play in The Fenway.
winter wonders
After Samuels & Associates pressed play on our summer marketing campaign, they asked us for a fresh look to celebrate everything happening in the neighborhood during the winter season. With festive markets, a tree farm, skating rink, and countless dining and shopping opportunities, The Fenway was the place to be for the holidays. But how could we encourage people to bundle up and get out to enjoy it all when temperatures dipped?
feeling festive
Our latest campaign, again created in collaboration with illustration duo Cachetejack maintained the playful spirit we first introduced while showcasing all the winter fun in The Fenway. The campaign came alive with animations activated on social media, custom instagram filters, and ads online, in print, and on bus shelters.
spreading cheer
Everyone could play with our campaign through face-in-hole boards found throughout the neighborhood and receive our custom ornaments, enamel pins, holiday wrapping paper, gift tags, and greeting cards as a gift with purchase. There’s snow place like The Fenway.
